Brief Places of focus for the Geology of Auckland
This tour will look at old Mesozoic greywacke sediments through to Miocene sediments and young Pliocene to Pleistocene sediments and some more recent rhyolitic ash falls.

(Tours may not necessarily be done in the order listed below)

Day 1:Auckland to the North

Whangaparaoa Peninsula to Army Bay, Little Manly

Day 2: Auckland to the South

Red Hill, Waiuku, Hamilton Gap

Day 3: Auckland to the East

Cockle Bay- Howick, Omana - Maraetai and Kawakawa Bay
